Constant drop off under small trees, small buildings. It does it anywhere from a 6 lane highway with no trees or buildings around in the city to a country road with a few trees around. Just had it to the dealer, and they tried to blame the signal from XM.
I live int Richmond and Have called XM several times to get a refreash signal sent that hasn't helped and yesterday was my third attempt with my dealer and even thought thaty were able to duplicate the problem and it also happen on a similar new '13 Camry they drove as well. Either is Toyota is making a bunch of crap or they are being supplied crap parts. I explained I've had satellite radio for over 10 years and have never had this problem.
I was told this was an environmental problem and normal. If that doesn't work I will be calling Toyota directly, even thought they say they have spoken to Toyota Tech Service who also says this is normal. All it says is "So Signal" I have had it into a dealer 3 times and they have changed out the head unit, the XM receiver, the antenna and all of cables. I am geting frustrated with reception or lack there of on Sirius XM radio and have called then so many times to send or resend a signal and been to the Toyota shop several time for them to say its a Sirius issue not Toyotas. I have 2008 Chrysler Sebring and am having the same problems; every underpass results in a momentary loss of signal. Just bought a 2013 Toyota Highlander with horrible XM radio signal.
