Ip address not updating

If you are using the Windows or Mac version of our Dynamic Update Client, be sure you have placed check marks beside the hosts you would like to keep updated.If your using our Linux client, be sure you are only trying to update one host, or a GROUP of hosts (see the README. Updates are only done when your IP address changes, not when it is different from what the host is currently set to.We have an issue with LDMS 2016.3 where the IP address shown in the close is incorrect.If I ping form the Core server or a workstation I am getting the correct address in a command prompt.

The update client runs in the background, so once you have it properly configured you don’t have to worry about it; you only need to remember your hostname to reach your files and services.

And again visited that link, status "Waiting for first update" is not changing.

I used curl and wget with parameters described on DNS-O-Matic API Help page.

An update client is a computer application or a feature in your router that keeps your hostname’s IP address up-to-date.

The update client periodically checks your network’s IP address; if it sees that your IP address has changed, it sends (updates) the new IP address to your hostname in your Dyn account.
